My husband and I met this adorable couple Sheri and Josh on our honeymoon 3 years ago.On the drive from the airport in Cancun to our hotelin Playa Del Carmen we realized we both lived close to each other in St. Louis (and when you are in Mexico and you find out you live in the same city you feel like you found your next door neighbor).During our 12 day stay we had a blast hanging out together! You could tell Sheri and Josh had found true love in each other it was very obvious when you spent any time at all with them.Shortly after they got home from Mexico Sheri found out she was pregnant and 9 months later they welcomed adorable Brea Claire into the world.About a year after they had their little angel they received some heart wrenching news, two years after their marriage blissfully started they found out Josh had a brain tumor, at the young age of 33.They immediately did surgery to remove the tumor and Josh started his battle to overcome this obstacle that was placed in front of him.Josh (and Sheri for that matter) has remained so positive in such a touch situation (read his blog and you will see for yourself).Josh is an inspiration to anyone that has ever had a conflict with which they have struggled.September 30th marks Josh’s 1 year anniversary of surviving brain cancer and I can’t help to be SO proud of him. Please pray for Josh, Sheri, and Brea Claire as Mission Josh continues to fight on.
If you would like to read more about Josh’s story you can take a look at his blog. There are also Mission Josh t-shirts you can purchase to help support the concurring medical expenses Josh faces.
On the 10th anniversary of 9/11 La Dolce Vita Desserts would like to remember the victims and the victim’s families of our nation’s worst tragedy.May God bless them and may God bless the USA!
Isn't everything better on a stick? YES! That is why the carnival puts everything from pickles to snicker bars on a stick...however they fry most of those, which makes them even better too!!!
So I decided to join the stick craze and I made some cookies on a stick and decorated them like lollipops. The order was for lavender and white but these would also be really cute in the typical rainbow of colors. Give La Dolce Vita Desserts a call to make some for you!
So I have some good news...my husband just started a new job...woohoo for him! But before he left his previous employer he asked that I make his secretaries and owner's wives some treats to thank them for their hard work and dedication while he worked there...no I didn't charge him, although I did consider it (shopping money!!!). So being generous I made him 6 mini bouquets for the ladies...I added a star to each one as I think they were all superstars! I hope they enjoyed them... and I will miss the ladies too, they were always so sweet!!!
Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet and adorable niece Sophie!!! She is headed to Disney World today and she is going to have a blast...I cannot wait to hear all about it :)
This little piggy went to the market...this little piggy stayed home...this little piggy made cake pops...this little piggy had some...and this little piggy went yummy yummy yum all the way home! I am feeling the need to toot my own horn again but boy are these cute? One of my good friends has a little princess who is turing 2 in November and she had asked me if I could make piggy cake pops for her birthday party since her daughter loves Olivia (if you have a little one you know who I am talking about). Anyway I wanted to give these a try before I committed to an order...and voila the pigs were born! I gave the samples to my niece (who is 4 but relates to life and says things like she is 20) and she said "they taste as good as they look and she could not wait to have the second one!" She even ate all of her peas in order to get one...so what does that tell you? Let La Dolce Vita Desserts make some piggies for your child's party and if you have another animal in mind I would love to give it a try!
